There's a fog that settles in those early days. You're running on no sleep, figuring out this new version of yourself, and the days blur into each other in the most beautiful and overwhelming way.
And then one day you look up and realise — it's already changing.
The newborn smell fades. The tiny curled fists start to open. The way she fits perfectly on your chest won't last much longer.
Maybe you're pregnant and planning ahead. Maybe you're reading this at 3am, feeding with one hand, phone in the other, suddenly realising you want someone to capture this before it's gone. Either way — I'm here before the fog takes any of it.
I work with natural light, I follow your baby's lead, and there are no hard expectations and no rushing. If the baby needs a feed, we feed. If you need a minute, we take it.
I'll arrive, with a coffee if you need it, because I don't need you to be ready. I don't need the house clean or your hair done or for you to feel like yourself yet. You just had a baby. That's enough.
Even on your worst day — the no sleep, running on empty, is this actually hard or is it just me day... those are the real moments.
The ones you'll actually want to remember.
The ones your child will one day want to see.
About three weeks later your gallery lands in your inbox — full of the moments that were already starting to blur. Ready to download, print and keep forever.
I arrive, we ease into things and your baby leads the way. I get a feel for the space, prompt a little here and there, and otherwise let you enjoy this time together.
Once we have a date locked in I'll send through everything you need — what to expect, how to prepare and what not to worry about. Which is most things, honestly. And we'll have a quick chat before the day so you feel completely at ease.
Ideally during your second trimester so we can plan ahead and you have one less thing on your mind after baby arrives. Already had your baby? It's not too late — get in touch and we'll figure it out together.
This is for you if...
Real and natural is what you're after
Home feels like the right place
You want the whole family included
You want to remember how it actually felt
Probably not for you if...
You want a styled studio session
Props and elaborate set ups appeal to you
A carefully curated aesthetic is what you're after
Solo baby shots are all you have in mind
Newborn sessions with me are for families who want something real and tender rather than posed and styled. Who want to remember those early days exactly as they were — not a Pinterest version of them.
I've been a new mum three times. I know what those early days actually feel like — the exhaustion that goes bone deep, the love that catches you off guard, the strange mix of overwhelming and ordinary that nobody quite prepares you for.
I'm not coming to your home as a photographer who's read about new motherhood. I'm coming as someone who's lived it. Who knows that the house doesn't need to be tidy, that feeding stops are a part of the day and not interruptions to it, and that sometimes the most important thing I can do is just make the tea and give you a moment.
You're in safe hands. I promise.

When your gallery arrives and you want them all...
In your home, at your pace. The early days captured exactly as they are. Real, honest and full of the details you'll want to remember forever.
That beautiful bump, those quiet moments of anticipation. Before everything changes and a whole new chapter begins.
Those very first hours with your brand new baby. The kind of moments that pass so quickly you'll want someone there to hold onto them.
From bump to baby, or those very first hours through to the newborn days — when you book any two sessions together, you save $200. A small thank you for trusting me with the whole story.
A $250 deposit secures your date. Balance due one week before your session. Payment plans available — just ask.
Travel is included within the Macedon Ranges. A fee may apply for locations beyond 1 hour from Romsey, VIC.
Give them a moment they'll never forget. Available for family and newborn sessions. Just get in touch to order.
The early days pass faster than any other season of life. These photos aren't meant to live on a screen — they're meant to be on your walls, in an album, somewhere you'll walk past every day and feel it all over again.
Your online gallery connects directly to a professional print lab. Prints, framed artwork, albums — everything delivered straight to your door. Not sure where to start? I can help with that too.

I suggest booking as early as you can, using your due date as a guide.
That said, babies don't always follow the plan. If yours arrives early or you need time to recover, just get in touch and we'll work it out together.
For maternity sessions, anywhere between 34-37 weeks is the sweet spot — round enough belly, comfortable enough mum.
And if you're the mum that didn't think she'd want newborn photos but, now that bub has arrived, you're completely regretting it? Reach out. I'll do my best to fit you in.
I’m now based in Romsey, in the beautiful Macedon Ranges, and photograph families right across the region — from Gisborne, Lancefield and Woodend to Kyneton, Sunbury and beyond. I also return to Melbourne regularly, particularly for sessions in the north including Doreen, Mernda, Donnybrook, Kalkallo, Eltham and Hurstbridge.
Travel is included for sessions within the Macedon Ranges. A small travel fee may apply for locations more than an hour from Romsey.
Newborn sessions run 60 to 90 minutes— enough time to ease in, find our rhythm and capture a real variety of moments without anyone running out of steam.
But I'm not sitting there with a stop watch. If bub is really unsettled or is going through a period of cluster feeds, we might take that little longer.
And in case your wondering, maternity sessions run for 40 minutes while fresh 48 sessions run for around an hour (so you can still have other visitors during visiting hours).
To really capture that fresh, squishy newborn stage, I suggest having your photoshoot within the first two weeks of their life. But honestly, there’s no bad time. Babies are beautiful at any age and so book when it works for you.
Just as a guide, you tend to get smiles around the 2-3 month mark, at 6-7 months they will more than likely be sitting (with or without help) and from around 9 months, they’re often on the move, crawling about and opening all of your drawers.
I want you to be comfortable and dress as you usually would. If you'd like a little guidance, your session guide has a whole section on this — no decision paralysis required.
No studio — all newborn sessions happen in your own home. It's where your baby is most comfortable, the light is beautiful and everything you need is right there. I use natural light throughout to capture something real and heartfelt.
I don’t bring any props to sessions. I believe it’s a lot more meaningful to use items that you own, that reflect your style and that may become treasured items to your little one.
So pull out the quilt that nanna made, the beloved teddy bear from your childhood and the knitted blanket in the colour you love. It’s these little things that will add an extra spark to your photographs.
I certainly do! There's nothing quite like holding a photograph in your hands or seeing your newborn framed on your wall. They create a visual legacy that won't get lost on your phone or computer.
I use the best photographic labs around to provide you with long lasting prints and beautiful keepsakes which you have the option of purchasing through your gallery.
Whichever way you choose to print, all I ask is for you to choose a high quality lab. It makes all the difference.
Yes — and I love it.
Maternity sessions are available as a standalone or bundled with your newborn session for 20% off.
Around 34-37 weeks is the sweet spot. Get in touch and we'll chat through the details.
Unlike many photographers, I don’t wait for your baby to sleep before photographing them. I want your photoshoot to be as realistic to what life is like at this particular time. So if your baby is awake, let them be awake. If they need to feed or just want to be cuddled, go for it!
Newborn sessions need anywhere between 60-90 mins (sometimes longer) allowing plenty of time to pause and tend to your baby’s every need… which I will also happily photograph.
Yes — I encourage the whole family to be involved. These aren't just baby photos. They're the story of your whole family in those first extraordinary days.
Yes — absolutely. Siblings add a whole other layer of magic to newborn sessions. Big brothers and sisters meeting their new sibling for the first time is one of my favourite things to photograph. Just let me know who'll be there on the day.
Not much at all — I'll work with whatever light and space you have. Your session guide has some simple tips but honestly, the most important thing is that you feel relaxed. The house doesn't need to be tidy.
